Simple Yo Yo Headband

What to do with all this scrap fabric!?
I KNOW!!!
How about some simple fabric YoYo flowers, and an even simpler headband!
Yo Yo flowers are super simple and super pretty, here's how to...

-First pick out some fabric...

-Cut out circles, any round template will do, just make sure to cut the circle twice the size that you want your yo yo!

-Next on the wrong side of the fabric sew a seam around the perimeter of the circle, knot one end of the thread (make sure to use strong thread).

-I find it simpler to pull the thread as you go around, or you can just wait until the entire circle is finished.

-Then, pull the thread very tight and tie. You may have to press the middle in a bit to make the flower flat.

Now for the headband...
-Cut out some felt fabric circles and glue one side of the felt to the underside of the headband, and the flower to the top.

-Let it dry.

Hope you love it!

The Finishing Touches!

For a little girl's room...

So, my daughter is now a year and a half and I've finally tackled the changing table curtain! It has been something I've wanted to finish when we moved here in the summer, that didn't happen. Then I figured I'd get it done when the boys went back to school, that didn't happen either! It didn't happen before the holidays, or the break! But I can finally say I got it done! :)
Here are a few pictures of my little Chloe's room...
Her bed...
Dresser...
Hand-crafted sailboat from her auntie...
Picture wall... In my "dream world" i'd like to make room for another little girl! ;)
Her coming home dress...
Now for the curtain...
I am happy with it and I think she is too!

Thanks,
Sarah
